Agribusiness
AMARI Group (Australia) Director Aung Ko Win’s efforts successfully resulted in possible future Cattle exports from Australia to Myanmar. With the help of Premier Beef (McNamee Partners Pty Ltd) Company’s Chairman John McNamee and a legal cattle trade advisor from McCullough Robertson’s Lawyers.
Aung engaged constructively and delivered very valuable contacts to Myanmar’s officials (Ministry of Livestock Fisheries and Rural Development Veterinary Department) and information from the Chief Veterinary Office in Australia’s Department of Agriculture.
Currently Australia’s Department of Agriculture and Myanmar’s Veterinary Department are working together on an animal health standard protocol for the two countries which will enable trade in the near future. Myanmar’s local people will be able to experience import quality beef from Australia.
AMARI’s aim is to import three types of cattle into Myanmar (Breeder, Feeder and Slaughter).
AMARI is also in the process of securing low budget building projects in some rural areas of Myanmar.
These projects are currently in negotiation with the Rural Development Department.
